You only have to do 5 years instead of 6 if you already have a degree, but otherwise they don't do a GEP programme.

They do the 4 year graduate course or you can do the normal degree minus the IBSC which is 5 years that is sometimes preferred due to the less compacted format.

Newcastle med school was originally Kings College, Durham (I assume that means Durham owned them). Then Kings College left Durham to become University of Newcastle.
