a = 6i + 8j
b = 3/2a
c = 6i + 3j
d = 5/3 c

asks for the vector equations of lines AD and BC and the position vector of their point of intersection...

i just dont know how to do it? help please...

We can write the vectors as:
a=6i+8j+0k
b=9i+12j+0k
c=6i+3j+0k
d=10i+5j+0k

AD has equation r=A+t(D-A)=6i+8j+0k+t(4i-3j+0k)
BC has equation r=B+lamda(C-B)=.....

You can find the point of intersection by rewriting the lines in the form r=i[....]+j[....]+k[....] and equating the i,j and k components, solving to find lamda and t and hence finding the point of intersection.
