AS and A2 Level Past Papers, Material and Requests Thread
This thread is designated for all past papers, mark schemes, examiners' reports and other examination material requests. Please refrain from making new threads, as these will be merged into here to ensure that requests will be noticed as quickly as possible. You may search for existing material within this thread and a list of relevant links is given below.
Those threads are now closed, so make new requests for maths and science past papers in this thread.
You may find this post useful if you're searching for something structured.

With all these exams coming up, I see many people constantly asking for the same papers again and again and again, and as you may probably have experienced, those of us trying to help are getting slightly frustrated with having to repeat the same stuff again and again to different people who can’t be bothered to read a few posts up to see whether they can find the answer to their question. Now I’ve decided to make a small and humble guide to the steps that you should take first before asking/posting for any papers at all.
If you want to get help in any particular subject or talk about particular subjects, please visit this thread which tells you how to get to each subject's forum.
For information about UMS marking and UMS conversion schemes for different exams, please refer to this excellent post here which shows how the UMS gradation system works. For further information about UMS, you can always contact the individual Exam Boards for help.
There is a website, made by a TSR member, which also helps you understand what your grades mean and how they compare to everyone else's grades in the country. This can be found here.
This post is an excellent guide for anyone who is having difficulty revising for their exams and want help on any tips and techniques they may want to learn about.
This programme enables you to calculate your UMS and Raw Marks from data you may have readily available. It is an excellent Calculator, but please note that it will only give you approximations.
Here's a guide on how to search and obtain a paper effectively. These guidelines are set out to help you, not to hinder you so please keep to them as best as possible:
1. If you’re looking for the newer papers, i.e. those that have just been done, like Jan 2008 papers by the time when this was written, or in summer asking for June 2008 papers, think about it again. Do you really think it is possible that exam boards are going to publish their exam material that fast after the exam? I don’t think so. The only way you are going to get them is if anybody can get any extra papers off their school and scan them and put them up. I really doubt anybody will go through all that hassle in order to post a few papers up on the net. So if anyone of us DO have that paper, don’t worry we WILL post it up, it’s not that we are trying to hide these papers from you, if nobody has it, then please don’t ask for it. Exam boards will release these papers 9 months after either the exams or the publishing of the results. It would help if everyone can link and ask for papers using the same format. this makes it easer to search for these papers for other people.
The format used is as stated:
Paper Name e.g. 6665
Exam Board e.g. Edexcel
Subject e.g. Mathematics
Module e.g. Core 3
Date e.g. DD-MM-YYYY or 9th June 2008
If you cannot state some of the points, please try to state as many of the others as possible.
2. Please do not ask for non-existing papers, i.e. Jan 2008 FP2 and FP3.
3. Now looking for the papers, it will be a good idea to start looking for the papers using the search function incorporated in TSR. Write the name and year of the paper you’re looking for in the search box and chances are you are going to find a list of links that might lead you to the right paper. That saves time and effort for both you and us. The TSR search function looks like this or like the following . Both can be used to search TSR for past papers or their owners. Recently, people have started to make TSR Wiki pages about past-papers and their loactions. These can be accessed and found using the search funtion too. The TSR Wiki is a valuable resource and is worth looking at before posting for a paper in the forum. Chances are, your paper will be linked to a site on a Wiki page.
4. If you HAVE searched and still can’t find it, then chances are it might be on one of these pages,
5. If you still haven’t found what you’ve been looking for then ask for it on TSR nicely and please be specific about it. It’s no use saying, I need/WANT physics papers URGENTLY, because nobody is going to know what Board, year, paper…. So don’t be surprised if you get ignored or yelled at. Whereas if you were to ask in the following manner: “Does anybody have Edexcel physics Unit X mark scheme for year Y and session Z? If so, I would really appreciate it if you could upload it since I would really like to have that paper. Thank you” You will probably get what you need if somebody does have it, and you probably won’t get yelled at.
6. If you have asked and not received a reply, please do not post again and again and again for the same thing, you might get a warning to say the least. If nobody has responded it’s maybe because nobody has it, not because we’re all mean people who don’t wish to share, so please have some patience. It may be urgent, but you need to understand that if there is nothing there, then there is nothing, asking many times won’t make it appear out of nothing.
7. For CIE papers ask xinolisss, I am pretty sure he can get almost any of them new and old ones, up to O/N 2002 (this time, next year Ihell be able to get up to M/J 2003 and so on.) He is willing to help, as long as you specify which paper session and subject.
8. Please remember that it is illegal to post and share Private Papers on TSR. These include Solomon, Delphis, Elmwood etc. These Papers have limited distributions and posting these papers could lead to warnings or bans. Please remember that it is also illegal to post links to illegal third-party websites on TSR. For Example: hosting the papers on a hosting website and then posting the following link. This too could result in warnings and bans. All illegal material found on TSR will be immediately removed.
1. Edexcel, CIE and STEP Exams cannot be talked about until 12 hours after the exam has finished in the United Kingdom. This is because these exams are taken internationally and time zone differences cause problems. Users will receive severe warnings if they do talk about theses Exams when not allowed to and may be banned.
2. Edexcel's new specification for Maths started in January 2005 for C1 and C2 and in June 2005 for C3 and C4 onwards. Please note that before this, the papers were P1-P6 respectively. These Pure papers had a different syllabus and are unrepresentitive of the newer papers.
3. AEA Papers, also known as Advanced Extension Awards are taken by only one Exam Board per AEA. For Maths, the AEA is taken by Edexcel whereas AQA take the other science AEA's.
4. Please feel free to report any past paper attachments to the Moderators using the warn user button which looks like this: . Don't hesitate about reporting. The mini-Mods (currently suuuuuuuseh, hobnob, Gooner and insparato) are there to help you out.
5. Please do not post about illegal methods of retrieving past papers on the site. Users who post methods of obtaining past papers illegally will be warned and may be banned.
6. Please do not post your e-mails on the public forum asking people to send you papers to it. You will receive warnings for doing this. Instead, you may PM an individual or a group of people asking them to kindly send papers to your e-mail which can be sent in the PM. Using My e-mail is not allowed either.
7. Do not post about 'Rep payments' as a method of trying to get papers earlier.
Thanks.
Xinolisss and Sohan

AS Maths, Physics, Chemistry + Biology exam papers
Do you know where I can get some? The exam board doesnt matter.
Ive got a a few from AQA, but i need some more.
Plenty of papers for Biology, Chemistry and Physics AS and A2. Papers are predominantly OCR with some Edexcel papers. AQA also have downloadable past papers and mark schemes.
www.cie.org.uk for the international A-level papers. I did them, I'm not sure how they compare to the UK domestic ones, but I'd presume they're more or less the same.

Hi guys. I'm looking for some A2 Physics past papers (and especially mark schemes) for the OCR Physics syllabus called Advanicing Physics. The A2 modules are called 'Rise and Fall of the Clockwork Universe' and 'Field and Particle Pictures'.
The site has PDFs of the papers so I know the A2 ones probably exist in software form as well. Any help is appreciated (including any other random resources specific to this syllabus). Thanks.
