I have an american friend who was moaning at about the cost, I must of muddled up the total cost and the cost per application. Either way, we get it for peanuts in comparison.

Yes, the fee for UCAS is not very much, for what we get, but given that America has no centralised application system and each school must process the applications on their own, a fee of $40 is not that unreasonable. It is slightly ridiculous to apply to 10 or so schools anyway.

Posts up there are saying its £9-19? OMG - why are they increasing it every year. That sucks.

Probably as more and more people are applying and it costs more to process etc. :frown:
It's gone up £2?

They must spend so much sending us promotional material :colonhash:

WHAT?!?!?

I'm from a poor family. I'm not going to be able to go to university now.

Thanks a bunch, ZaNu-Labour.

If you are struggling that much with finance you can always speak to your school to help you pay for it once you explain your circumstances. Dont you receive a bursary?

Sensible advice in general, but the OP will probably either have been or not been to university long since - the post was from c.2009:smile:.
