    Aqa B - volcanoes
    hi, im wondering if any one could help me out here. Iv just finished looking through some past papers and on one of the past papers, there is a question asking you to draw a diagram of volcano...and the mark scheme says to include the following;
    layers of ash/lava(allow variation to type of lave)
    central vent, crater, secondary cones, magma chamber, secondary crators, lava flows pyroclastics and other outputs.
    I have the redfern and skinner book, and there is no diagram in there(which is a little strange). does anybody have a link or a diagram themselved which will be useful for this?
    thanks very much

    Volcano diagram

    ^ Might help, perhaps not as detailed as you may want though.

    A page here may also help!

    Yeah I just did that past paper question the other day, and was aware that it wasn't in the Redfern/Skinner book either. However the diagram required wasn't too complicated and I could remember most of the points from KS3 geog, eg. the magma chamer and the vents and suchlike. I wouldn't get too worried about it, I dont think they expected you to draw a very detailed diagram, and if you were completely stuck there was the option of writing about tropical storms for that question, where I know there IS a diagram of a tropical storm in the book.
    Best of luck for the exam in two days
