Unsure of what I want to do or take or where to go!

Hey,

I'm currently in Year 13 studying Maths, Physics, IT. I got AAAB last year, and dropped Biology (the one I got a B in).

I love to go out, socialise and have fun, and that will be a MASSIVE part of the uni experience for me. I don't mind where I go in the UK, but I've got a very good Event management job currently in London, and if I stayed here that would definitely be carried through Uni.

But if I did move out of London, as long as I was going to a big city I could start running regular events there with the backing I would get.

I am quite interested in Event Management, but have been told that someone predicted A*AA should be aiming much higher, and just continuing that as a job but not a degree.

I've been interested in Computer Science degrees, but have absolutely no idea which one, as there are so many. I've been quite laid back about looking for uni's and missed most of the open days already, so would really appreciate some first hand advise and views if you're taking a Computer Science degree.

I have been looking at:

Imperial
Warwick
Southampton
Bristol
Durham
Aston
Bath
Brighton

But like I mentioned, I have not been to see any of them. I am really keen on taking a gap year, and travelling to somewhere like Peru and doing voluntary work for a few months, and coming back and doing some work to fund myself for uni.

Would this be supported by uni's or would they rather that we go straight there after the summer?

I'll greatly appreciate any help with this

Thanks!

I don't think they mind if you do a gap year or not. tbh, if you want to stay in London, and with those grades, I would say Imperial. It's one of the best in the country.

If youre gonna get them grades then consider applying to Oxbridge and definitely Imperial.
Yeah I cant see that theyd be bothered about having a gap year, it shouldnt really matter.

Also, with the going out and socialising well you can do that anywhere, depending on what you want to do. If you wanna sit in a pub/bar with a few mates then you can do that anywhere.
