Hiya!!!
I had my nursing interview at Uxbridge yesterday and it wasn't as scary as I thought it would be at all lol!
We were given a name sticker and went into a room where all of our documents were checked (birth and education certificates etc) before being split into groups of around 6 to 8. Each group went off to a different room.
In my group there was 8 of us and the first thing we did was a group interview with 2 of the nursing staff and and a lady who is from a local charity. We each had to introduce ourselves and then they asked questions like what qualities do you have that would make you a good nurse, what sort of things do nurses do on a day-to-day basis, what challenges could you meet while on the course, etc. It took about 20 mins or so.
Then you all have an english and maths task. The maths paper was all about decimals, fractions, percentages and conversions, the first few questions were quite easy and they got harder towards the end and it took about 30 mins.
The english task was basically reading a passage and making sure you could understand it and then we had to write 250 words on a topic we were given, that took about 45 mins.
To finish, we had a presentation all about the uni, course, placements etc which basically answered any questions anyone had.
The staff were all lovely and I was really impressed with the campus, its easy to find and brand new.
Hope that helps lol
