From what I saw Uxbridge looked quite nice. From the tube station it was about a 5 min walk down the high street to the uni so obviously there was quite a bit of the town that I didn't see but I liked it

Lol it was quite funny when we had the group interview because we all got chatting before and we were trying to guess what they were going to ask us, no-one really knew what to expect. My advice is just to think of a few answers to have ready just in case. My mind kept going blank like it does when I'm nervous but I managed to think of a few quick things to say lol!

I've applied for Sept intake The presentation at the end was good because it basically cleared up anything else we wanted to know about the course, uni, town etc.
Overall I was really impressed, just hope I get in lol!

oh i seeee haha wouldnt think i did ucas last year would ya XD
i've forgotten how it all works now. actually i didnt even get a letter unless i got an email.
my application last year was so bad - i put 02 instead of 05 for fees (if 05 is the right one haha) and the choices i'd put down i hadnt even thought through
only decent part was my personal statement!

where else have you applied to?
xxx

Hiya!! Just thought I'd let you both know that I've just had a phone call from Bucks to say that they are offering me a place!!!!

I'm so excited lol and shocked at the same time as I was worried that I had messed up the maths and english tasks. Just goes to show because I'm not overly confident in either of these areas but was still offered a place

do either of you have any tattoos or ear piercings (aside from the normal lobe piercings)?
i've been trying to look this up for ages but i get so many different answers, as i want a tattoo on my shoulder blade and possibly one down my side and lower back (ofc these will be hidden by my uniform) but will it be ok if i had ones done on my leg/ feet if they were hidden by socks and trousers? :/

i know some people say it looks unprofessional etc, and some say it's ok aslong as it's not offensive. but if they're hidden by uniform/ trousers/ socks, reckon that would be ok?

my boyfriend's cousin works in a nursing home and she has quite a large tattoo on her fore arm, and the male nurse which supervises his blood donations has quite large flesh tunnels and two full arm sleeves.

I don't have piercings (Thats a lie, i have my toungue pierced but its not obvious) However i do have tattoos on my arms.
All i can think of doing is covering up by wearing long sleeved uniform.

I got a call offering me my Interview Wooop Woop.
Now really nervous about Maths questions.

Congrats Vicki, are you doing Sept or Feb?

omg congrats dw about the maths question, i think vicki said it was only conversions (decimals, percentages etc) just revise that bit.

dw i found the nhs dress code pdf document thingy haha the tattoo section is literally one line:

8.6 Tattoos
Where possible staff who have tattoos should ensure that they are not visible.

so i reckon long sleeves for arm tattoos, and trousers/ socks for leg and feet tattoos is gonna be coolios

just on a random note.. i read a few american lawsuits involving nurses :| i was like DEAR LORD! some of them were over really silly mistakes that the nurses had made it was horrible!

is anyone looking for accom in uxbridge?
me and my cousin are looking for a 3rd house mate to join us in renting a house at about £300-£400 each per month (so houses/flats with total rent of £900-£1200) and about £300 towards deposit, were still looking at places at the moment, and have found pretty amazing ones, but we need that 3rd person =D so deposit and rent may be cheaper, depending on the place we get

can be male or female, ages 18-22

message me ASAP and we can talk [=

tbh ive been worried bout the whole housing thing due to no halls, but tbh, if a gang of us got just a normal house together it be so much easier, and we just split rent equally (or if there happens to be a really small room, that person pays less rent? fair right? PS, i want a BIG room as my room at home is TEEEEEEENY XD)
