Just worry about finding a room mate before setting prices, because the house you choose may be less or more then you have already said.

All i want out of accomodation is it to be close to the Uni

I got another question - i hope you dont think im being rude.

But if i were to hand over the deposit and stuffs, would you definitely be staying in the house because i couldnt afford to run it alone.

Thank you!
How quick after your interview did you find out if you were in or not?

I'm back lol!!!

Sorry I haven't been around, been away for a few days

For my interview I wore grey trousers and a black shirt/blousey thing and flat black shoes. All the women seemed to be wearing smart trousers and a blouse, there wasn't anyone in jeans or anything else casual. Think we all wanted to make a good impression.

Found out today that my offer is unconditional so I'm absolutely ecstatic!!!

Does anyone know how much accommodation costs in Uxbridge?

Welcome back Vicki!
I thought i had been deserted!

My interview is on wednesday. I am very nervous indeed - How did your interview go? I am worried i am going to do one thing wrong and not get in!

Congrats in getting in

I have seen that you can rent a double room for just under £400 a month.
Google Nupad as thats the estate agent that bucks new uni uses to find their students accomodation.

GAH i get butterflies just thinking if i will get in or not!

Hiya Amy!

Don't be nervous about your interview, I thought everyone there was so lovely and welcoming, they really put me at ease throughout the whole day which is one of the reasons that made me really love it there.

Best thing to do is think of some answers to the questions they will ask.
Questions they asked us:
Why do you want to be a Nurse?
What qualities do you have that would make you a good nurse?
What do you think a nurse does?
What experience have you had relating to care? (don't worry if you haven't had any, they don't see that as a bad thing)
What might you find difficult about the course?
What would you do if you weren't enjoying a placement?
What do you like to read?

Remember that the interviews are in groups so when it comes to each question you just go round in a circle each giving an answer to each question. It takes the pressure off because the interviewers aren't constantly watching you and you have time to think of what to say next lol! Just speak in the right places and you will be fine, I kept going a bit blank at certain times but they gave me a place so I'm sure you will get one too.

Maybe do a bit of maths revision when it comes to fractions, percentages and decimals and then conversions. And then if you're a bit anxious about writing just practise a tad for the small essay question in the english task. I though I had totally messed mine up on the day lol, I babbled!!!

I have always been told to remember that the fact that they have offered you an interview means that they like you and just want to make sure that you're not a psycho and that you know what you're letting yourself in for lol! I enjoyed the day

Thanks for the info about accommodation, I'll have a look

Can't remember if I asked before, are you applying for Feb or September?

reckon 'smart casual' is ok?

like say smart trousers - either flared or skinny - with a white plain tshirt and grey cardi with smart shoes?

i know it sounds silly but if i dress too smart i get nervous and dont act my self, which i doubt is a good thing!

haha i love the 'what do you like to read' question glad my answer would include reading medical dictionaries ><

Yeah I've applied for September

Lol I think smart casual will be fine, I honestly don't think they are too bothered about what you wear really, it's more about what you say and how you get on with your tests.
Seriously don't panic about them though cuz I really thought I had done terrible in both maths and english and obviously I didn't do that bad lol!

The presentation they give pretty much answers any questions that you have so you go home quite re-assured and full of info
