Yeah I have an unconditional offer lol, still cant believe it!!!

I've decided I'm going to come down to an open day some time over the next couple of months to learn a bit more about the uni as there's loads of questions I have before I decide whether to go here or not. It's going to be such a huge move, I wana make sure Im going to like it lol!

Need to make sure I can afford to live there too lol!

btw, another stupid question from me i know like any tattoos need to be hidden, but reckon a tiny little black star outline on my wrist would be a problem? easily hidden by a watch ofc. it'd literally be 1cm by 1cm big

omg i just got an email from my college advertising volunterary placements in caring for people with disabilities i emailed them back straight away saying im interested, just gotta wait for details now!

The interview went okay I asked about tattoos as i have them on my wrists, they said as long as its tasteful it will be okay - so go ahead and get your star!

The volunterary placements would really work in your favour so good luck with that!

So now apparently all i have to wait is like 10 days then i may be going to Uni!

my boyfriend went to give his platelet donation today and he was asking the nurses for me XD the male nurse there has two full arm sleeves haha but coz he got them done before he started training they were pretty leniant. they gave me a website and number to phone too

didnt go to the meeting in the end coz i had the day off

im getting dead excited about uni now my nan even said she's gonna start saving some of her pension to give me ><

Does anyone know what the social life is like around Uxbridge? I know that its only the nurses based there as the main campus is in High Wycombe so wonder what kinda nights out we get?

i've been told, because of the work load you can get about 2 awesome nights out a week if you dont want to get behind on work
as i believe it's not too far from the centre of london via tube/ train, if it's not expensive then i reckon you could easily get into london for a decent night out [: i'm hoping so!

I got a letter from Ucas today.
I was nervous to open it so i sorta held my breath while doing so....


It wasnt even anything to do with my application, just some junk mail!
Grrrrr, i just wanna know now because all this waiting is driving me potty!

They rang me about 10ish days after my interview to let me know they were offering me a place and it wasnt on ucas for weeks after that.

The waiting is definitely the worst bit lol!

I'm off to their open day next week and am hoping to apply for a Computing subject there. I don't know how good Bucks New Uni is and some people have told me some... shall we say "disappointing" things about it, but I will see of course next week and hoping I can prove them all wrong! lol

I'm from Oxfordshire, so not too far for me to travel (about 1 hour or so from my house), so I decided I'd go and check it out.

Sam are you going to High Wycombe or the Uxbridge campus?

Vicki - I thought the campus looked really nice and clean - AND MODERN!
I just thought WOW when i saw the reception area, the big widescreen TV and all the furniture was white lol.

The canteen was nice also.
I think the actual Rooms however were quite small, but i suppose it means smaller classes?
I liked the lady who hosted the slide show about the Uni, and everyone was nice and friendly!

i think it's only nursing/ health care students in uxbridge

omg i cant wait to go to one of the open days! eeee wont be til april though.

in some of the other uni prospectuses they had pics of the teaching rooms but they were more classrooms than lecture halls so i reckon we'll be in smaller classes BUT that means we wont be waiting ages for help from the lecturers and wont have to talk infront of 150 people haha can you imagine doing a presentation to 150 people in a lecture hall?! i hate public speaking but i'll take the 30 person class room anyday!

Thanks Kay - I am so nervous.
I don't think i will get in though spaces are really limited for childrens nursing and in my interview alone there was like 3 more people (outta 5) that was more knowledgeable then me....

Gah! The waiting is driving me insane!
