Still over a week away!! Why does Warwick's term have to start so late?!? My mates have all moved away, I've got nothing to do!

You won't want to be drinking after a trip that long. :p:

Well maybe so, I also have to collect my Westwood accom. keys from Rootes reception, which is on the other side of campus :s-smilie:

I travel down a week today! That's so awesome to be able to say now. I'd be too tired after a ~7 hour drive on the day so I'm staying at a travelodge nearby and hopping over sat morning, is that cheating? :p:

I'm tempted to do the same since my grandparents only live maybe 45mins away! It'd cut a good couple of hours off the journey anyway.

Arriving on the sat - hoping to get there 10-11 but by the sounds of things the parents want to make a day of it! I think my chances of socialising will be severley hindered by this eek! They even said they wish they were coming to sttudy..oh dear not sure how I am going to subtley point them towards the door lol
Did a major Ikea trip today.. I hope their flavoured vodka is nice!

I didn't think to bring drink with me, might have to get something...

I think we have the opposite problem! I'm just worried if they hang around too long then I won't get to meet anyone without them trying to embarass me! Mmm the drink is my back-up plan for approaching people oh dear that sounds a bit alcoholic..I'm really not! I guess I could offer people a shot, its a bit better than a cup of tea!

Tea with a bit of vodka in.

In all seriousness though, I hope my parents bugger off pretty swiftish, don't want them cramping my style haha.
My folks and bro should be gone by 1 I hope, then I can meet people and go to the fresher's fayre and bag some freebies!
Im thinking 2 hours will be long enough for the parents to stay? what about everyone else?

My parents want to stay for the welcome thing! They're frustrating. I can't see them leaving until about 5!!
My dad is busy that day so it's just my mum coming, and it's my sister's birthday so she wants to be at home for that.
So I reckon a drop off, quick unpack, nip round to Tescos and then she goes, so maybe an hour?
Hopefully should get there around 10.30/11.

So is it advisable we get our freshers T-shirts as soon as we get there?
