Early Middle Era: Anytime between 1/7 and 16/8. Characterised by large 'General Forum chit-chat' threads being in abundance. Instating of Leekey, ickle_katy, Expression, rehaydenuk and Ollie as moderators. Overlord status required 750 - 1000 posts.

    That's me.
thats me too except my post counts a bit crap for the ammount of time i spend on here :0)

I was a bit of a bastard when I first joined (I accused katy of being a man - among other things). A wide assortment of unregistered users banded together to insult me and call me a smurf, I probably brought that on myself.

    Ahh, memories:

Ahh yes i remember the 'Is ickle katy actually a man?' thread. You were nasty back in them days, and the smurf thing as entirely your fault. But you are much nicer now

Yes, how things change. Back then I was mean because I realised that, on the web, I could be myself without getting a real-time punch in the mouth. I've come to think of all of you guys as my 'support group' now, though...

Oh whoops, already mentioned by chicken. Oh well, just shows how relevent and memorable that race was.

Oh does anyone remember the at that time huge P3 thread in which we could all just complain about how awful and hard the exam was, or am I the only regular survivor of this? I remember asking Ollie if the Harry Potter thread had beaten the length of the P3 one, and that was when the HP thread was given the title of officially the longest thread ever. It was a big thing back then.

And then Leekey came in second, before either Ollie or Katy made it. And not one of those people ever made it to 2000, even though they were the very first to break the 1000 barrier...how ironic.

Yep i remember the P3 thread! Thats when i first came across this forum, so i posted a few times as an unregistered, not really intending to hang around after the exams finished, but then i got addicted so became a registered user!

Mind you, reaching 1000 was a huge thing in that time, and not many people reached it. Remember, the forum has grown a lot since then, and there are probably a great deal more of a variety of discussions.
In the old era, there were probably many more unregistered users, until we had the sense to register. I was unregistered from the start of the exams, when I asked and tried to answer some work related questions, and then abit later I registered. A bit annoying that is. I would have had an older age, and my post count would be a bit higher.
