NHS Dentist

Hi there, I just got a letter from my dentist today saying I've registered at a practice elsewhere and I'm no longer a patient. Is this because I'm registered at one at/near warwick?

Sorry if it's a stupid question, I just assumed I'd be sorting NHS etc out for myself when I got there.
Did you actually register yourself somewhere else or has this come out of the blue?
If you didn't initiate any change I'd phone them up to see what's going on.

I never changed dentist while I was at Warwick, it's a pain in the bum trying to register at NHS dentists because most of them are full and don't accept new patients. I just had an annual check-up every summer when I was back home.

Thanks. It's come up out of the blue, I was actually planning on staying with my dentist while away. I'll phone them tomorrow. That's quite worrying :s-smilie:

I never left my old dentists, but I did use a dentist near uni in my second year, because I was in agony.

There's one in Canley which I went to, where they were able to fit me in on the day I called them, and had a look and referred me to a bigger dentists in Coventry for root canal. Seeing as I managed to get seen there with no difficulty, I don't think there's any need to register with one near uni - you should be able to get in without reregistering, if you're in dire need of a dentist.
