Personal Statement Slant?

I'm applying for PPE with a view to specialising in economics. Would it be OK to push forward my keenness in economics in my perosnal stament more than the other disciplines, or might politics/philosophy tutors be miffed?

Why not try to display a well rounded interest in all three?

it's difficult when you're going for PPE at some unis and economics at others... you might put off the pure economics unis.. i'm trying to strike a balance.

It could be a bit difficult applying for PPE/Economics courses because it'll be hard to please any one tutor. Have you thought about applying for Politics+Economics courses instead of straight E?

If you strongly prefer Economics then it could probably be done. Perhaps talk about political aspects of economics.
