I'm applying for Physics/German. I like physics and language and the joint honours system at Leeds looks really good. Also, I've been chatting to people who are at Leeds and the nightlife sounds sooooo sick. In contrast to Imperial, which I'm also applying to but tbh probably won't get in (predicted A in maths, A in physics and B in German). But I think Leeds would be brilliant. Anyone else doing a crazy combination like mine?

I am applying for Linguistics and beginners Portuguese.

It's great they have an awesome Classics department, so I can take subsidiary modules in Mythology or Greek or something. I hope I get in.

Has anyone who's on this thread (who are not Dentistry/Med/Oxbridge) sent off their applications yet?

I'm aiming to send mine by the end of next week. I was reading in the Leeds admissions handbook about their offers process (they're nice and transparent about it!) and they said they aim to send out their definite offers almost straight away, then hang back 'til after the deadline for those they aren't sure about.

I think that's a bit scary! You'd know within a few weeks whether they even liked you or not.

You're also applying to St A I see. Have you visited it? They were my firm last year but I missed the offer...such a fantastic place!
