freshers at leicester

How strict are they on ID?
my friends just gone up to uni and as im up for the open day anyway this weekend i reallyyyy want to stay the night and go out with her. i have a friend at de montfort who says the union etc is really strict, shes 21 and always gets ID'd, but my 19 year old friend whos just gone to leicester uni says he hasnt had any trouble yet atall and that they're really relaxed
i stand about 5ft 9 before heels and can get in places where i live without id but i not sure if i should risk going up to leicester and getting turned away!

I am 21, and have never not been asked for ID in Leicester, both at the Union and elsewhere. The only place ive not been asked is at the halls bars.
I don't look young either, not 17/18 young atleast.

They aren't strict on ID but it depends on the night as some nights they demand proof that you go to this university, i.e. your library card or nus card!
