Year * ICT homework help - please

Hello this is the first time I've visited this site & I hope someone can help me!
My homework for ICT this week asks me to find the definitions for:
(1) database field record table
(2) primary key
We aren't given any text books for this subject at school and my Excel 2007 'Quick Steps' book from home doesn't give an answer.
Can any one give me a simple definition or point me in the right direction?
Thanks stacks

database field record table

field : a space for information in a database (like a cell in a spreadsheet) - eg. Name

record: collective fields (ie a record is a load of fields)

table: data arranged in columns/rows

database: collection of records which a computer can easily sort through (electronic filing system)

Primary key is a unique thing to each record (like a candidate number for GCSEs)

Welcome to TSR. If you ever need help with ICT homework again you're best bet is to use this sub-forum.

I've moved your thread to Computing and IT in Study Help as opposed to University Courses. They're two seperate areas you can access by browsing the 'Forums' tab.

Ok - so I'm not the youngest any more!

Welcome, I'm a year 9, but that seems a bit advanced (but then we did Website Coding)
