Just wondering what everyone elses rooms are like? Just arrived at Heronbank about 45mins ago and I must say that I am mightly impressed. Huge room, with ample amounts of shelving, big wardrobe and a lovely big bathroom. The kitchen has a ridiculous amount of storage for eight people too. The only downsides I've found are that the ethernet socket is buried away in the opposite corner of the room to your bed and there is only one tall fridge between eight people! All in all I've visited a lot of student accommodation at universities over the last two years and it's probably the best student accommodation I've ever seen! It's making me question whether I want to trade it for Rootes after all despite the extra cost
sounds sweet. rootes is not nearly as nice :P but whatever, the rooms are decent with some personal stuff in place, and after some kitchen parties during orientation I can't wait to se what's to come for the next year!
Looooooads of people use the M40 to get to Warwick, maybe you'll see another Warwicker stuck behind you in the traffic
I've moved a quarter of a mile in the part half hour. The lorry is still there. (Hopefully attached)
I've seen a few cars with stuff in the back.
Edit: doesn't work
I'm in Hurst, it's small but NICHE, and uber-close to central campus so that's groovy. I still prefer Westwood (which I was in in the 1st year) though. OOF.
I'm in Jack Martin, the rooms are really nice, all been re-done, kitchens are brand new, really happy with it Although i don't have a lamp!
I couldn't find my lamp at first, then I did and found out it was a bizarre lamp. You turn it on and it comes on EXACTLY 7.5 seconds later. (yes I timed it). (no I'm not autistic).
Claycroft's pretty awesome - the kitchen is small, but there's an okay amount of storage...I just have way too much kitchen stuff and food so it doesn't fit in! It's kind of weird - they're split into flats but it's basically HUGE corridors because the front doors don't lock - only the ones into the vestibules and our rooms, the bathrooms and the kitchens. The bathrooms are alright, about to go test the shower. I hate my bed though, so uncomfortable...will need to fix that somehow! Also nowhere near enough clothes storage space - the wardrobe is huge, yeah, but there's practically no drawers. Big desk and loads of shelves above it though which is good. And overall room size pretty good too - I was expecting a MUCH smaller room.
I really like my room in Cryfield...was expecting much worse! The shower is very powerful which is good. There are 2 big kitchens on my corridor although one seems to be quiet and the other sociable. The corridors do seem to be a bit narrow and endless.
I'm in Hurst.
Room is pretty small, but good enough. I've managed to fit all my posters up, and all my clothes in drawers/in the wardrobe.
I'm waiting to see how things go with the kitchen. At the moment there's loads of cupboard space (which is good, cos I have a LOT of stuff, much of which is in my room still), but some people are internationals who haven't bought much kitchen stuff yet, and I think we're still one housemate short!
Corridor is narrow and dark and forbidding looking.

ditto.. im in the quiet one but they are right opposite each other so i just make my food then go eat in the other.
my room is much nicer than i expected although its a bit dark.. i have a view of some trees about 15m away so need the light on most of the time.
theres LOADS of people having to share, so the kitchen is divided between more people then normal which means less cupboard space, I GET LIKE 3 SHELVES WTF. so i have to store loads of my stuff in my room, which is a HUGE pain having to go back and forth to cook, okay i feel worse for people sharing rooms but i'm paying full price why cant i get a full service, this is ridiculous
Spoiler:
i should not have to put my coffee in my room, i look and feel stingy and suspicious when im not.
I'm in Arthur Vick and I LOVE MY ROOM! It's lovely and big and having a bath and shower is just awesome. The kitchen is really nice and the love the fact we get a "Lounge Area" too!!!!! Met some cool people so far so just need to sort all my stuff out and personalise my room a little bit!
