Hardest A-levels
Discussion for A-Level students and for those choosing their A-Level subjects.

Re: Hardest A-levels
Naturally, everyone finds particular subjects harder or easier than someone else. An A* Maths student may struggle to write a good essay, and an A* History student may have no clue about differentiation.
If I had to choose two subjects that I think the largest number of people would struggle with, I'd have to go with English Literature and Philosophy. Might throw Chemistry in there too.
Just my opinion though.

Re: Hardest A-levels
I'd say the most difficult are:
Maths - Very high level required
Chemistry - There is a large amount of content
French - All languages are hard but French would be particularly difficult grammar wise
English - It's pretty much all dependant on how you perform on the day so you need to be prepared perfectly for the exams and it's very difficult to get everything in whilst trying not to go off the point -
Re: Hardest A-levelsMathematic is easy to understand, if you are a person with a logical mind. In my opinion everyone who has such an one has a great advantage in this subject.(Original post by CharliePhillips)
Further Maths is the hardest subject by far. It requires a dynamic understanding of the whole of maths, and other a minority of student even have the capacity to understand any of the subject! -
Honestly, the easiest AS for me was Latin, followed by French and then Maths. Erm, English was the hardest because I can't focus for an entire hour on an essay; I end up taking several mini breaks during the exam and not finishing. Then Art was huge pain....
I guess it depends on the person, though, because I'm pretty that I wouldn't be able to do psychology, Bio or history. History would have torn me apart to shreds. -
Re: Hardest A-levelsIn my opinion Romanic languages (French, Italian, Spanisch, Portuguese and so on) are the difficulties ones. Non Romanic ones (German and English for example) are okay.(Original post by thescientist17)
(...) Languages seem pretty hard too.
