Simulating Wireless Sensor Networks?

Hi, I'm just wondering if anyone on here has any experience of simulating WSNs and if so could they recommend me a simulator?

I'm currently learning OPNET in uni, but I've been told that it's not a very good for WSNs, and OMNET++ is better.

I've downloaded OMNET++ along with MiXiM (the successor to Mobility Framework), but I've read in other places that Catalia is better than MiXiM, although Catalia isn't supported in version 4 (which I've downloaded), if you're recommending OMNET++ which is the better of these two?

Also, I've read some sources saying ns2 is good for WSNs and some saying it is terrible, but I'd like to hear people's thoughts on it.

I used ns2 to simulate a WSN network, and would not recommend it. It supports more protocols than Omnet++, but in my opinion it is far more difficult to use.
