More like 20mins on the bus, and the trains aren't as frequent. Swanborough is nice... Lewes court ensuite is pretty lush too though!

I must have got the slow bus then lol and the trains are about 20mins apart, just get to the station when a train is due lol. Swanborough I like, will be applying when the time comes. I really dont like East Slope tho, they look like bunkers, but the bar is lively, more lively than Falmer bar lol nothing like a good ol' game of Trivial Pursuit lool

I think east slope looks like sheds... it was meant to be temporary housing for the builders when they were building the uni apparently, so the story goes! And I put it last on my accomodation form... i put off campus housing before it!! haha!
Yeah East slope bar is good... Falmer is just too far to walk to!!

"Sheds" loool, temporary accomodation eh? looks like it, I have yet to hear all the stories about Sussex lol I'm sure I'll be hearing them soon, but yea East Slope will definitely be my last choice. Did you get your 1st choice accomodation? or is it hard to get your 1st choice

Are you kidding me?
East Slope rocks, it's not about where you live, it's all about who you live with. And I've never met a Swanborough person at any good party, and you can see through their windows every night. Srsly, it's not worth the extra rent!
I pay £55/wk, leaving me £120/wk to spend on alcohol
Applying for Chemistry to Sussex. I went to the open day on June 13th and I ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT!
Chemistry course looks good too - I like the idea of being able to switch between the BSc and MChem in your first/second year. I've heard Brighton's an amazing student town too and has a good nightlife. I really want to go there!

Maybe I'll be the first then if I even get Swanborough lol I'm not saying East Slope isnt fun, because thats all they said on the open day lol I'm just saying I don't like the look of it, but I'll be going to the bar, I liked it, it's much better than Falmer bar

Oooooh, please tell me a Chinese girl called Jasmine was showing you 'round her flat...
And yep, the bar does rock, and it's close to Swanborough too

I know a few people that put Swanborough top of their choice list and ended up in East Slope... their last choice. It's really over subscribed apparently so by applying you run the risk of ending up somewhere you really don't want to be. East Slope isn't so bad anyway, pretty quirky some flats there are much nicer than others for some reason. You can put your name on the swap list but I looked at it two weeks ago and there must have been over 100 names on there!
I don't like Swanborough personally, the bedrooms aren't very big and they smell like damp after a while. Rubbish view too. I'm in Lewes Court and so happy that I'm paying £20 a week less. We have fake leather sofa's and a completely refurbished flat, very niiiiiiiice.

Hmmmmm you are swaying me lol I would have thought they would be over subscribed too, I must check out Lewes Court, I never got to see it on the open day but I did hear they were nice too
- Undergraduate
- Environmental Science with Development Studies
- Since I'm in IB, my higher levels are History, Biology, and English. Then I have Swedish, Physics and Math as SL. I haven't gotten my predicted grades yet.
- Besides the 150 hours of CAS you have to complete, alongside a daily trip to the gym alongside some messing around with the guitar in the afternoon, most of my time is spent studying.
So about these predicted grades, do I just plug them in the UCAS form, or do I have to mention that they're predicted somewhere? Also, how important are they in guaranteeing you a place?? My school has been extremely unorganized in the buildup for predicted grades.
