So what kind of a-levels standard do u reckon u need to be to have a shot at the scholarship?

Have Aber even given out many offers yet? It's wierd because I have heard a lot other Uni's giving out offers but NOT Aber!

idk, when did you send off your ucas? what kinda offer did you get - conditional ? unconditional?

sent it off end of september...got a conditional... 280 UCAS tariff points

edinburgh nottingham trent hull aberdeen
have conditional as well fot nottingham trent
i dunno.. im from ireland so dunno anything about uni in uk

Irelannd? cool, my mum went came over here to do nursing from Ireland.
Nice choices! I was thinking of aberdeen, but that went out of the window when I learned how far away it is.

Good luck with the rest of your choices anyway, I don't envy you making a decision on which one. I have such a Aberystwyth only mentality that I can't see me anywhere else so it's easy for me. (unless I get rejected. )

I went to the open day a few weeks ago.
Before I visited I loved the look of Aber because of I loved the look of the politics courses so it was going to be high up anyway.
I then visited and fell in love with the place too, everyone was really nice and the area is beautiful so I was really impressed. Whereas with my other choices I either don't love the area or the course, but Aber I love both!

hardy_4_paws - Anyone can sit the exam. If I were to estimate, I'd say probably around a B+ level to stand a chance of getting a high result... but it can also depend on the level of revision you do beforehand.
