Re: Chemistry at OxfordMay I say that the language you use is to be revered, and that I Sir, commend the lexis that you endorse so willingly.(Original post by There will be Particles)
Indubitably, I agree. I have tried my utmost best to keep an open mind when considering my options as this really is such an important decision and a pretty darn hard one I might say!

Re: Chemistry at OxfordJolly good, all I have to add to that estimable complement is 'I drink your milkshake, I drink it up'!(Original post by Mann18)
May I say that the language you use is to be revered, and that I Sir, commend the lexis that you endorse so willingly.
I would like to also mention that I hardly mean that in sexually perverse manner.Last edited by There will be Particles; 27-10-2009 at 01:44. -
Re: Chemistry at OxfordOne did not originally construe that sentence as sexually perverse, nor do you need to explain yourself Watson, (I've decided you're Watson, I'm Holmes, you kinda need to deal with it sooner rather than later, it'll speed the process along) I've heard many a sailor speak the same words down at the Rusty Nail Inn, and they all seem to be thoroughly heterosexual. (Not that it's impossible to be heterosexual and perverse, I'm just drawing attention to the fact that you directed the quotation to myself, and it could be construed as a similie for the consumption of ejaculate.)(Original post by There will be Particles)

Re: Chemistry at OxfordIndeed! I do hope you find it possible to excuse my stark abrasive manners.(Original post by Mann18)

Re: Chemistry at OxfordI wouldn't be so daft as to simply state it, however I do believe that there is no harm in mentioning an interest in a specific article that I may have come across.(Original post by Quady)
I really hope for your sake you're not going to put this in your personal statement... -
Re: Chemistry at OxfordWatson, I revere them, and only hope that you can come to terms with my chauvinistic way of refering to women, it's a problem thats plagued me my whole life, and originates from the period my mother was a prostitute, and I was taught the facts of life by the brothel owner, "Big Shirley." And do address me as Holmes, Watson, I shan't tell you again, it was you who asked to be brought on my expeditions, and if you wish to remain on board this particular vessel (really homo-erotic undertones in the vocabulary here if you look) you'd do best to address me in the manner I have requested. Carry on.(Original post by There will be Particles)

Re: Chemistry at OxfordI think it quite erroneous to assume that I hold no understanding of what a scientific paper is. Lo, you should really be reviewing your own incapability of putting across your wording in a more comprehensible manner.(Original post by Quady)
You don't know what a scientific paper is?
Care to elaborate on why you think you're Oxford material?
I very well know what a Scientific paper is, having written one myself. -
Re: Chemistry at OxfordHolmes, I find that the indigenous population of this land seem to have transformed the landscape into a social and cultural cesspit with Marxism quite prevalent!(Original post by Mann18)

Re: Chemistry at OxfordI would also like to remind you that in no way did I even imply that my intentions were to treat it as a rigorously peer reviewed and proof read scientific paper, I simply find the New Scientist as being an enjoyable read which on the whole is more often credible that not.(Original post by Quady)
