People magazine publishes first photo of Jaycee Dugard since kidnapping

Jaycee Dugard was aged 11 when was kidnapped in 1991
I'm so happy to be back with my family,' Dugard says

The first photograph of Jaycee Dugard published since her release from captivity shows a brown-haired woman who appears to have well endured 18 years in a backyard prison.

Dugard was freed from Phillip and Nancy Garrido in August after police at the University of California at Berkeley became suspicious of Phillip Garrido, a convicted sex offender, and phoned his parole officer.

People magazine today unveiled the much anticipated first photo of Dugard, in a website spread to promote a package set for release in the Friday issue.

She managed to dye her hair I see. Oh no wait her hair was naturally blonde :holmes:
She looks exactly the same! But this story makes me so sad :frown:
I'm surprised she can smile after that awful ordeal. She doesn't look much different, though =)
they must have given her an extreme makeover. I mean not seeing the dentist, hairdressers etc for 18 years

Damn wouldn't she be too traumatised to be a part of a news paper article?
