Is now a likely firm if I don't get an offer from LSE, but I've never been to York (in fact, I've barely been up north) so am hoping I'm gonna like it on the post-offer day...

yes cos i was going to apply 4 chem and on a pre application day they interviewed us, they just talk to you about stuff, more like an informal chat, nothing to be scared of and no scary chemistry questions! might tlak about practicals and recent stuff you've been doing in chem
Have applied and already got an offer for English (Q300) (which is the same course as English Lit...god knows why OP has put them as two separate courses...)

Offer: Unconditional (Gap Year-er, have already achieved equivalent of A*A*A at A-Level in English Lit, History and Politics.)
