Does anyone have any good novel writing websites, along with any general advice

Look at novels you enjoy and examine how that writer constructs their prose. I know that's what Kerouac did (didn't stop "On The Road" being crap though).
Not sure about novel writing, but for a good general creative writing (mostly poems and short stories) site try:

If you submit your story in short bursts you can get good critique.

Go to borders and pick up The Writer's Forum magazine, or just use google like the rest of us.
