To be fair, Coventry to Euston is 1 hour on the train and covers 95 miles. Then the Tube through London and journeys further south can't take much longer than than another hour or so.

Train is always fastest. Bus is usually cheapest :smile:
Yeah, but it's unlikely you'll get through coach fares to south of London, and so organising the journeys to back onto each other is a pain.
Incidentally, there are cheap fares both onto the line into Euston (super off-peak return on London Midland trains only = £9.90 with railcard, 2 hour journey time); and on the Leamington - Marylebone Chiltern line (super off-peak return via Banbury = £11.90 with railcard, 1h30 journey time).
