Im getting worried because ive just sent my application off today! I know im late, and its just been sent to my tutor to check, so not officially gone yet!

Ive applied for Law, and a person i know, who is also going for Law has got an unconditional offer.

You dont have to worry I applied last year but will be going next year to Keele. I sent my form of on Monday 3rd November 2009 and got a reply about 1 week later. Most people send them off at the beginning of November especially in my college.

Its ok last year I worried so much thinking loads of people already had them in but then I realised they were Oxford and Cambridge and most people hadnt even handed them in by Christmas the queue on the last day college would accept was awful. Is Keele your first choice or do you have others before that. Keele was my third choice out of 4 Universities I applied to (I applied to one twice similar course same grades). Didnt get an offer from my first and didnt get the grade of results day for my second so Keele was my insurance but now I couldnt be happier as despite a better course at my other choice and higher in league tables Keele have the best graduate prospectus out of the two. This year Keele could only offer accommodation to firm places which is why I couldnt go as I did not want to live off campus as I dont know anybody or the area at all. I think that will change this year though as I was told they are going to be more careful next year so that most first years get a place.

Yeah I talked to my teacher and she said that I wasnt really late so thats alright now. Keele is also my third choice out of 5 so im worried that if i end up giving my firm to another Uni, and I dont end up going there, I wont get any accommodation. Isnt there any way to discuss it with them afterwards? So what University did you end up going to if you didnt go to Keele?

I think its different next year so that insurance probably will get accommodation and just clearing wont I dont know but that is what I heard. I'm going to Keele next year as by the time I was told about the accommodation it was to late to go anywhere else and plus I really want to go to Keele now. Well there is nothing to do afterwards as they have already given away all the accommodation to firmers and therefore nothing they can give you apart from a list of landlords who are offering accommodation. You could always email them if you decide to pick them as insurance to see what they say about accommodation. What are your first 2 choices?

Law too
I'm a little confused, correct me if I'm wrong. You applied last year and were meant to start in September, but didnt go, since you wanted to go to Keele and live on the campus. So instead, you are now going to university next year to study Law right?

Yer it is confusing ha. I applied for 2009 entry with Keele as my insurance but got told that they had no accommodation for insurance students last year but they said I could defer for a year or find something off-campus but as I dont know anybody I didnt want to live off campus plus I dont know the area and would feel isolated off-campus. So instead i'm still going to Keele to study law but i'm going next year instead.

Got an offer from Keele of 320 UCAS points including BB and a C in English for English and American Literature.
I really like Keele, but I think I prefer Goldsmiths. But, Keele said that they can very rarely give halls accomodation to people who put them as their 2nd choice... so that puts me off putting them as my insurance, cos i definatly wanna stay in halls...
But if I dont get an offer from Goldsmiths (they haven't replied yet) then i guess i'll put Keele first.
