I want to apply Kingston Uni for 2010. Can anyone tell me about the university in terms of uni atmosphere, students etc? also how sociable the uni is?

I live in Kingston. It's really not that good compared to other parts of London. The shops shut at 6 (8 on a thursday oooo) and there are only a couple of good clubs. But whatever.

a ****/average uni, most people enter with CCC at AS, which aint great tbh.
good shopping, e.g. bentall centre/clarence street/fife street/eden street, a variety of cafes in kingston town, a good supply of buses

meh.. it's not the best.. kingston is just down the road from me back home.. it's not got the greatest reputation (uni wise) to be honest..

i'd reconsider you choice if i where you..

If your not going to a top 5, then it doesnt matter.
If your studying Journalism, kingston is rated 2nd best for journalism in the country.
If your looking for a good social atmosphere, ive had no problems with it and thoroughly enjoyed myself.
I've been their 2 years.

it's a lovely city, and central london is 20 minutes away on the train. the "night life" isn't much, though there are some good pubs and a few good nights, but london is so close it doesn't matter.
the uni is great for art, fashion, graphic, architecture etctctct, maths/computing is surprisingly good and some other subjects are decent.
uni accom is reeeeeally nice
