Default Bit of Help Would Be Great

Hello Everyone

First post here as I've been trying to find out some information on the internet but I've had no luck so hopefully asking a few questions here will.

I'm in my second year studying a National diploma in music technology. Now I want to go on to music production at university but I don't understand the levels of education like MA/MSc etc. etc.

Im also not sure what courses i should apply for?

So if theres anyone looking at this in the same situation could you please post what your doing or what you've done as abit of guidance which would be of great help

Also whats the latest you can apply for uni because i haven't started applying yet so if its soon i'll have to get cracking on this.

Thanks for any help

Lightbulb Bit of Help Would Be Great

It's been a while since you posted and nobody's replied yet...maybe you should check out Coursework.Info, TSR's sister site. It has the largest library of essays in the UK.

They've got over 160,000+ essays, projects, assignments, coursework etc.. all written by GCSE, A Level and Uni students. You get access either by publishing some of your own work, or paying £4.99 for a month's access. Both ways give you unlimited access to all of the essays.

All their documents are submitted to Turnitin anti-plagiarism software, so it can't be misused, and the site’s used by hundreds of thousands of UK teachers and students.

Hopefully you'll find it useful

First of all, welcome

An MA is a Masters degree in an arts subject and an MSc is a Masters degree in a science subject. You'll probably be looking at courses which are BA, which is a normal undergraduate degree in an Arts subject.

There should be loads of courses in things like Music tech and Music production and things like that. Go on the UCAS website and do a course search for those, and if that doesn't come up with much, search for anything with Music in and you should get loads of results. You should find out your predicted grades from your teachers and then pick a couple of courses with slightly higher requirements, a couple with the same requirements and one with lower requirements. Or something like that, you might prefer more 'safety choices' etc.

The deadline is the 15th of January (for equal consideration), but your college/school might have an earlier internal deadline which would be worth checking.

Hope that helps
