Don't know if anyone here has been following this, but it's a cool little internet project set up by some of Youtube's finest British personalities.

All the lyrics, music, melodies were submitted by Youtube members as video responses and text comments and a song was concocted!

Now, the challenge is to get the song to number 1 for children in need and all proceeds go to charity (obviously). They've been followed all the way by BBC Switch as well.

79p. Goes straight to Children in Need. Help these youtubers show the power of the internet! It was number 25 in iTunes chart earlier today, but has slipped to 28 now. Even if you don't use iTunes, even if you don't normally pay to download songs, please download it and give 79p to a worthwhile cause while getting a gloriously cheesy song in return!

You dont even have to listen to it again once you've bought it if you don't like it, please just download it!

You could try putting image in your sig and then posting lots around the boards? That's what I'm doing. It's weird how into this I am, but then again I could be working so...

I've been following this and I think it's such a good thing for teens on the net to be doing it shows that although we all may be becoming obese techno freaks at least we're raising money for charity at the same time!

Hopefully they'll rase a lot Need 6,000 buys to get even a top 40 hit, so need lots more people to buy though!

Anyone been following this? Basically over 10 weeks some teen youtubers have collaborated with their subscribers to write a charity single, get a producer, make a video etc. in an effort to get into the UK charts this Sunday

They're currently somewhere in the 30s and it's pretty awesome to see a teen internet project alongside all the glossy and marketed productions around them.

Apparently anything as small as a 50 or so sales makes a big difference in their chart placing, and with a final push they could make the top 20. If we got the combined might of TSR behind it it could make all the difference.

All the money goes to Children in Need and it's only 79p, which is quite a nice little donation to charity whilst doing something cool (plus it's a catchy tune).

I think Leona's slightly out of reach sadly. I think it's sold massively globally, but needs more domestic sales. The guy in the video Charlie has 200,000 subscribers on his own which would mean a number 1 if they were all in the UK and all bought it, but I think a good proportion are americans, aussies etc. It's like 80 in the US chart, which is mighty impressive considering how big the US market is.
