No money there, and I never got a letter saying how much I would get etc. I haven't heard anything about it at all.

I have a quick question.

I studied at sheffield last year, and got a bursary. But at the end of last year I changed my course, (which I started this september). I've yet to hear about a bursary, so does that basically mean i'm not entitled to one?

Just wondered if any 2nd/3rd years on here know of anyone that have changed course and still got a bursary?

If you're doing first year again then I don't think you'll get it for this year. If you switched course and carried on straight into the second year then you should get it.

Student Finance are currently re-processing my application for the Maintenance Grant (of which I'm owed £2906), I've been told to wait at least a month for that. And from there, I'll have access to my Sheffield Bursary and my AAA Achievement Bursary. For now I'm penniless, with my accom payments unpaid and eating into that first student loan instalment. Ech.

Go and speak to SSID. They will be able to give you a short term loan or some financial help if you explain your situation. The sooner the better though as they need to know what is going on...
