Heya, I'm applying for Aeronautical at Glasgow too

I doubt they'll look at your attendance but to be honest... if they did, that might be a positive, since you managed to get AAAAB without great attendance, right?

With those grades I doubt you'll have any problem getting an unconditional anyway

Yeah my school is so annoying, If you hand in notes for being off too late it just stays as unkonwn. so i have like 18 unknowns and 40 lates But most of the times I was off were around study leave when I wanted to revise haha.

Well if they ask you can just explain your situation. Don't worry, I'm sure you'll be fine.

Nah, it wouldn't be a positive, they want students who are going to take their studies seriously, the workload at uni's on a different scale. Still, with those grades I doubt they'd care enough to let it impact your application.

This is true. They go on about needing good attendance for uni when you're at school, but it never once came up anywhere. Which was a plus for me 'cause mine was ridiculous, lol.

Being late is anything BUT good. Most people in the 1st semester have 3 moduels, you have 5. There is so much work, i cannot stress this enough. 1 of the moduels is graded on reports and 30% is attendance but you can only progress with the exercises and reports of you attend so as a results if you don't attend, you cant hand in a good and completed report and you nothing for attendeance so thats you comprimised on the grade of that module. With the others, its mainly exam based but you get taught so much in 1 lecture and each lecture follows onto another so you can easily fall behind and begin to struggle.

In my ucas application my guidence teacher mentioned my attendance which was very good so it could as easily be done for you and it won't look good.

If there is no mention of you attendance, you'll be fine without a doubt with the grades you have. If it is mentioned it could possibly decrease your chances with the reason explained above, but im not the admissions person i i cant say for certain.

I doubt the OP's reference will mention anything negative about her, such as her attendance.

Well my reference had praise for my good attendance record so it could easily swing in the other way. If the grades weren't amazing then the chances of it being mentioned would be high i think but with those amazing grades it could easily be glossed over.
