Just send your poem to Overground as soon as you think it's finished.

Six. I think there are a few people who plan to enter but haven't sent it yet.

I have chopped a week off of the time everyone has to do this, mainly because I am impatient.

This Saturday (i.e., the 7th), rather than the Saturday after.

Oh, Jesus. On Sunday my computer completely gave up the goat, and I'm typing thison a pitiful shell of a machine. Supposed to be desperately jobseeking, so poetry hasn't been on my mind during the time I've actually managed to access the internet. Suddenly wishing I'd kept quiet on the deadline front, but I'll try to get the rubbish I've written sent in before Saturday.

If not, I'm presuming there is going to be a 'next time'.

I'm sure we could hold back for a few days if you wanted a bit of extra time, since, considering there aren't that many people entering, we can afford to wait.

I suppose so, yes. Not that we will swamped with entries, but it's purely easier (with voting, etc.) if one poem corresponds with one entrant. However, I'm sure that, after the competition is over and done with (to avoid confusion), people would be happy to see anything else you've written.

Okay

Nearly done with this. Not sure how much it fits with the theme, though.

I will leave it up to Overground to judge whether poems qualify or not. As I was saying to JR a few days ago, your poem, in entering, has the title 'Escapism', so regardless of how much or how little it fits to that theme, it will be forced upon it to an extent.

It wouldn't have been fair to hold everything back because I was still plodding along trying to catch up with the bus. But, I just did a complete redraft of a poem I really wasn't happy with to something I'm decently happy with, so - "sent!", as it were.

I gave it a title, though. D'oh.

Oh, good.

Your title will have to be demoted to a sub-title.

By the way, im a terrible procrastinator (and im working on nano) sooo my poem might come in the day before....sorry guys......

Don't go voting without me!

Also another note, is it me or doesn't a lot of people on this thread have coloured username? I just kinda find it curious, and possible only slightly amusing.
