Why not get people to give some reasons?
It shouldn't be an 'Oh, don't go there!'-thread, but a 'Here's some important stuff to know'-thread
For example, I'm at St Andrews, and it's mostly great, but the accommodation is expensive and every year I have problems finding somewhere affordable to live. A lot of first years get shared rooms, which also might not appeal to everyone.
[There are lots more positive things about it too! Anyone feeling disheartened should go to the St A's subforum and look for the more happy threads ]

Oxford Brookes? You've got to be kidding me! Brookes is one of the best ex-polies there is, and for many courses does a better job than some old unis. For teacher training they're one of the best places you can go!
baba_moon you are 17! what can you possibly know FROM EXPERIENCE about any of those universities! Why are you posting advise to someone that you have no idea about.
Newport's pretty appalling, from what I hear. I don't know personally, just I live in the same area, and unless you're doing media, it's a waste of monies.
