Hi everyone

My name is Claire I am 26 and have 2 young children, I've decided to go back to Univeristy to study Law, somewhere in London. I'm doing it because ive already told my daughter she has to go to university and i want to be a good example to her. Plus Im sick of being poor and being an "income support single mother "

Would like to be solicitor at the end of end, who knows...

I'm really excitied and looking forward to it.

The first stage i need to do, is on Monday to contact my Georgraphy teacher who taught me 10 years ago!!! for a reference... wish me luck!

Regarding your daughter - she must be very young if you are only 26 - lead through example by all means, but, she needs to make up her own mind when that time comes. Remember, not everyone is cut out for university and not everyone does as their parents tell them

My friend's mum also did this at about 40! She was fed up of struggling to make ends meet after she and her husband divorced, so she went back to uni and is now a qualified Barrister! Best thing she says she could have possibly done, although it was hard with her son who was 7 at the time. He felt a bit neglected as she was tired after uni and didn't play with him so much/had to get his older sister to look after him a lot. Try and avoid that situation with your kids and you're set.
