help im 50 and going to LSU in 2010,any one else that sort of age or am i a unique case?you dont have to be going to LSU,only a similar age.Please report all sightings of oldies to me asap.

I am 5 years older than you. Last year I did a science foundation year where I was easily the oldest there. All the other contenders are doing different subjects to me and now there is no-one within about 20 years of me - most of them being under 20.
Plenty of even older folk on campus, just not doing maths it seems.

Not quite in your age bracket but definitely mature! I've just hit the send button on my UCAS form to study Diagnostic Radiography. I'll be 40 when I start the course, if successful

last year when is started my course almost everyone was over 20 I was only 18, there loads of old people at university

I'm on Diagnostic too, though i'm hoping for either Derby or Sheffield. The way i see it is that us 'oldies' have a little something else to offer over the the young guns.......life experience!

At 50, you definitely have a few years on me, I'll be 40 if i'm accepted but, hey there's still plenty of life in the old dog and you'll be able to bust some moves that the youngsters will never have seen at Freshers Wk!

There's a woman in her 40's in my arabic class, and two blokes in their 60's in my Classics class. One of them has an amazing moustasch.
