When do colleges make their decision?

Last Thursday I went onto the Durham track and saw that my application had been sent to the college I applied to (St Aidan's)... I was wondering how long I will have to wait before knowing if I am accepted by the college.

And just out of curiosity... how many people from other European countries study at Durham? (I live in France).

I applied as a postgraduate so the application process is a bit different to that of undergrads, I had my interview with my department, found out from them that they were going to offer me a place the following day and had confirmation from the graduate school about a week later, in my confirmation it listed my college - Castle, which was the one I had chosen. I did contact the college when i received my unofficial offer form the department just to express why I was interested in the college because I hadn't gone into this in my personal statement, I'm not sure whether this had any bearing on their decision to offer me a place in college.
