I don't understand your sig? and I have a question basically i have love handles which I hate =( I went to the gym during summer but I dont really have time now with jan exams coming up and then summer ones. I walk to college everyday (half n hour up a hill then half an hour down) and I avoid crisps/chips/kebabs etc the obvious fatty foods but I can lose my love handles at all =( everywhere else im fine so it just looks really disproportionate. Any advice? Thankyou

Not too much on the weights front to be fair, if yoy do lift keep the reps around 12+

HIT training is far better for boxing

Diet side is quite simple for me. I eat a good varied diet but tooooo much fatty snacks and sugary things. Cutting these out and eating lots of pastas and lean meats ( I am a butcher ) should keep me going.

Any advice would be great. No rush.

You look about 13 stone given you're 6'3 - no way in hell you're 16 stone 3 mate.

Your not going to build much muscle with a concept 3 rower bub, you can trim your fat, but muscle is much harder to gain

What can I do to stop my knees from caving in when I squat, that along with no real squat rack and no spotter is hampering my progress?

Hamstring and adductor weakness.
Point toes out further and focus on pushing knees out.

Also you can add wide sumo squats, side lunges and romanian deadlifts to help

What exercises do you think are good for building strength in Judo?
Obviously for Judo you need all-round body strength, but there are some common movements you need at the beginning of the throw.

Also, Is there any chance I can pop round to Notts uni gym when you and Nun train, and show you my lifts? I could really do with some critique from people who know what theyr'e doing. Just started training again and already the squat is messing up my hip flexors. I know this isn't really what you intended for the thread, but i'd really appreciate if you could show me what i'm doing wrong in person. I live nearby.

I got this by letting my knees slide forward at the bottom of the squat. Fixed and paid attention to my knees at the bottom and it completely went away. I've heard a few other guys have the same experience.

How can I gain fat quickly and healthily? I'm too thin and I want to gain at least a stone: I used to be eight stone and looked really good, now I'm six stone 10, which isn't good for 5ft4 (not that I really take bmi seriously, but I can see from the mirror that I am too thin).

Would you say it's worth me considering powerlifting? Or even training in that sort of strength direction?

I'm 5'6" and about 116lbs. Currently doing a 3 day bodybuilding split and recently come off a cut dropped about 15lbs and now trying to bulk up cleanly.

Deadlift: 120kg for 10 reps
Squats: 65kg for 10 reps
Smith Bench - 20kg a side for 10 reps or Dumbell Bench of 20kg DB's

I was thinking if i did maybe a 5x5 routine for a while and upped my strength i'd be able to hit 3x bodyweight for deadlifts. worth pursuing or would i still be quite far off most other real lifters?

Hi,

I'm 5ft 11 and weigh 68kg. I would like to bulk up a bit but I want to stay lean as possible. What sort of routine would you recommend and should I consider taking suppliments i.e protein shake. Sorry if this is really vague.
