Going to the gym tonight, been most nights this week but eaten quite rubbishy.
Main reason im going is im going out tonight so dont feel so bad if i do a bit of exercise.
Going to do a quite fast run at level 12.5, then maybe increase to 13 for 30mins. Then do some bike and cross trainer if i have time!

Do any of you use/recommend any good iphone apps for helping runners? As in one that measures how far or quick you've ran, or something useful like that.

Argh. Racing on Sunday. I am screwed. Not ran all this week besides 15 minutes the other day when my calves just seized up yet again. Longest run has only been 3.1k and this is 5k ahh!

I've started running today, just got home. I've been running for an hour today. My first 10 minutes were the most tiring of all, then I suddenly realised I had been running for an extra 40 minutes without noticing it, is that normal?

If you're sticking to a schedule try and stick to the time limits. But yes, generally it is thought that the first 10 minutes are the hardest- I just use it as the warm up lol

Should do. I think I use the free version and I've not found any limitations yet

Did an 8k today which I found hard but I played football last night so a little tired still!

If you want GPS, pace, elevation... yes. if you want audio cues and some other shizz then no.

The big thing about Runkeeper is the way you can work with data on the Web site. You have to pay for the more advanced features but it's still fairly cool.

Hello knowledgable running people! I am running 3 miles next Sunday (for sports relief) and was wondering if someone could advise me on a weeks training plan and give me some tips? Would be much appreciated

Have you ran before? If so, what distance(s)?

And are you aiming to finish, or set a decent time?

I cycled 11.1 miles, after 5 days of absolutely nothing. That's appalling, considering I have my first 5k of the year next Sunday!!
And here I am wanting to be able to run 20KMs again. I suck!

I went running this morning at 6am, and I have to say, it was pretty good. I mean to say, going at 6am as opposed to 3pm is much better - better weather for it, and no one was around! It was lovely.

Would you say cross-trainers help? In terms of performance and strengthening muscles?

I've never done a race before, ran 5km last night on a treadmill with a few walking breaks but to finish is my main goal
