That's not racist in any way at all. If they'd been called the n****r couple, fair enough that's racist. However, being described as the "upstrs blk cple" shouldn't be seen as racist, as how else would they be distinguishable from the next couple or group of people that came in and sat upstairs? PC gone mad; the couple didn't help matters either though by going to the papers. There's NOTHING racist about it you idiots.

Its quite clear that the pub should have written "Couple of sub-saharan descent or of african extraction".


But in all serious it is people running to the papers over something silly like this that makes alot of white people (like the blue eyes on "how racist are you&quot think that real racism doesn't exist. It detracts attention from genuine racism. In all honesty even if you were offended by this I don't see why you cant just brush it off cos it is so minor. Now if the pub had written "nig*er couple upstairs" on the receipt or refused to serve them because they were black then I would understand them going to the papers
