I agree, and to the person that said I lack self confidence I also agree.

I try to fake confidence and talk to girls, but nothing really happens so I just feel that I'm making a fool out of myself/failing, which makes me get depressed like I am now

But i never "get anywhere" with girls for example they never show me they fancy me, so I dont know whether the way I'm acting is good or bad??

It sounds like you have a negative attitude when it comes to this kind of thing. Maybe you are approaching the situation expecting to fail, expecting to be unconfident, when a better approach would be just to relax and see what happens. Just talk to girls, you won't hit it off with every last one. And they won't make it obvious that they like you, so it will take practice for you to be able to recognise the signs. Also, I'm pretty sure most girls can tell when a guy is faking confidence. Real confidence is just something that will come in time, if you keep pushing at the boundaries of your comfort zone. Keep at it!

Yeah deep down inside i;m actually scared of if I do get intimate cos I've never done anything like that before.... but i guess the only way round this is to keep plugging at being confident like you said... lol whys it so hard

Wow, it's almost like the advice in this thread is directed at me... OP, would I be correct in thinking that maybe, even though you try to act confident, you're getting the impression that confidence isn't something you can fake. And, since your confidence is dependent someone showing vague interest in you, you feel somewhat trapped in a vicious cycle?

You need a major overhaul. If you're hating on yourself at the moment, girls are going to be too. Stop focusing on the opposite sex for just two seconds please? You have your whole life for girl problems so let's rethink your life plan. Go out with your friends and enjoy your bloody life - Miss. right will come along one day and so will thousands of Miss. WRONGS but they will come to you. There's no point moping around all day, wasting your life away. You really do only live once so don't let this get you down. Beauty is only skin-deep, go and buy yourself some new clothes and get your hair done if this makes you feel any better but focus on the people you love and everything that you enjoy doing and things will naturally fall into place.
