Default New years eve in London

Hi guys,

I am planning to spend new years in lodon with a couple of friends. we have already found flights and a place to stay, but I ve made some bad experiences with wanting to party in a foreign city without knowing anybody or where to go to. so ive been thinking: are there any great events one could attend? for example: in germany there are very often parties - for example from university students - where you pay like 20 euros for a ticket and then all night the drinks are free. or is there a specific club you would recommend? something like that?
we are all aged 18 19 20 so we would like to have pple in their twenties.. music doesnt matter as much, but we d like electro, rnb, black, general party music yeah, we are definitily looking for a place where we can dance....

I d be grateful for any hints, ideas or experiences !
thanks a lot !

London is really expensive!

I do know though on New Year's Eve everyone crowds around the London Eye because there's an impressive fireworks display.

My Mum went to the firewrk display at Southbank last year and said it was absolutely brilliant

Failing that, why don't you have a look at a few events that are planned in advance here:

Don't go out clubbing on NYE, you'll never get home :P. Though I think heading to Big Ben to see the midnight chimes is the thing to do on NYE in London.

Everything in London on NYE is a ripoff and completely overrated in my opinion,

I'm staying well away from here on NYE. Having said that though, I generally don't like New Year, soo..
