This fight is primarily interesting in a morbid sense, and frankly makes me radically depressed about how the heavyweight division has become a freakish joke. That's no patent disrespect to the work and dedication of the two fighters - it's not necessarily their fault at all. Yet it remains a tragic indictment nonetheless, as far as I'm concerned, that this is not only a heavyweight bout, but a title bout.
I've bet £20 on Haye to knock him out, I will get £50 back profit. Not totally sure. The bloke is big etc but he's still human and he can only take so much of a beating. Haye is amazing on the offence, got a questionable jaw, fight can really go both ways.
It scares me looking at him though because he is a monster, I've seen boxing matches before when boxers take an utter beating and still don't go down and this bloke is a monster, looks like he could get hit by a lorry and still get up. Haye has some great punches but not being able to knock out that thompson bloke worries me, and he gave him everything he had.

No deparment except height does Haye look miles away from. Maybe waist but Valuev is just fat.
What about his freaking head and neck and things like bones and joints. It's the size of his head that's the problem, he's got a granite jaw and I'm guessing an incredible strong neck genetically and through training. There is a reason why he's had over 50 fights and never been knocked down.
I'll give you an extreme example, that lad from that 'up your viva advert' if you smack him in his chin, he would probably die because he's got one of the most pathetic jaws and bone structures ever. Valuev looks and is built like a cave-man. Haye has been knocked down 4 times, he hasn't got a granite jaw. Physically Haye is in better shape and looks better, not sure how strong Valuev is, but I'd say Valuev is stronger.
Andre the giant never looked that impressive, but was supposedly freskishly strong.
I still think Haye will win as long as he doesn't make mistakes and leaves himself open.

I'm looking forward to this, and will support Haye, simply because he's hyped it up so much. As far as predictions are concerned, as much as I'd like to see Haye win to liven up the heavyweight division, I can't really see him winning it. Valuev is half man, half mammoth, there is a reason he's never been knocked down, fair enough you can question his opponents, however the number remains to be seen. Haye's only chance will be the judges, however he'll have to shine if he wants to get any sort of result from them.

Who cares how many times Haye has been knocked down? The big guy will telegraph every single shot. And sure he might have a granite chin, but Haye's punches are missiles.

If you read what I've put in the thread you can clearly see I think Haye is going to win by knockout and have even put £20 on it. At this current time Valuev hasn't even been knocked down yet, so it is actually totally unknown if Haye can knock him down, some people just have granite like chins that stops them from going down.
He's 7ft 2 for christ sake and got a huge head and a strong looking head and neck for any size, yet his head is massive.
