Haye deservedly won. Valuev's agression was not channelled into scoring punches, and Haye landed the combinations that he needed to. He could have been a bit busier, but can't argue with it if you win the fight!

in the last roudn he did make the big man stumble and could has knocked him out if he followed up

overall it was just pretty dull, haye just won it by getting in a punch here and there

they should be forced to fight on til a knockout!

Two judges scored it 116-112 in his favour the other drew it 114-114. If you mean in terms of boxing, Haye just kept back from Valuev making him constantly miss, then he landed the punches when he needed to.

Terrible fight, as expected, but Haye has done what he needed to do. Jesus is heaven, we might see some spark put back into this division yet. Anybody who knows half a ******* thing about boxing will know that Haye would have obviously have taken it. Problem now is the Klitschko brothers, its gotta happen but even Lennox (albeit nearing washed up) struggled against Vitali so I aint too sure how he will fare, but it at least adds some intrigue to the division. Valuev was merely a freak show, nothing more.

Haye hurt his hand in Round 3, and that's why he wasn't throwing it as much. But still great performance and fully deserved.

I scored it 115-113, dunno what everyone else did.

I thought it was going to be a draw or Valuev win. Haye started off well but I thought he hadnt tested Valuev enough but he's maybe given a reason with the injured hand but he did well to stick at it, and it was the first or second time time Haye's gone the full 12 rounds. Valuev was punching hot air most of the time and both fighters got some shots on target. But credit to Haye, finally we can look forward to some intriguing contests in the heavyweight division!

Sounded like the commentator was close to collapsing at the end of the 12th round. He worked himself into a frenzy as if a knockout was coming and then tried to hold that tempo for another two minutes

Anyway, well done Haye but i'm glad i didn't pay for that one.
