I don’t get why so many people think that if someone likes to take care of themselves and wear makeup etc that they must be ugly underneath. I think this is one of the stupidest things I've ever heard.

lol, i always see girls lookin in shop windows in the morning, they think their infront of their mirror at home
Re: Why do some people wear make-up most of the time?
I used to be a little more concerned about leaving the house with no make-up on, but then I realized I was slowly losing faith in humanity. Whenever the uncomfortable feeling of a man walking along with his girlfriend, staring and grinning at you as they walk by, begins to get too much, I start to go out not wearing it again, when I pass under the radar of even the most desperate.
I don't know how pretty girls manage it. Surely the feeling that every man isn't all that interested in his partner must become overwhelming.
Re: Why do some people wear make-up most of the time?
I think that girls feel a bit more secure when they wear make up. After wearing it a few times, they get into a habit of wearing it everyday as they think it makes them look better. The prospect of not wearing make up everyday then seems ridiculous to them as they are convinced that it enhances their appearance and without it they look less attractive.
Re: Why do some people wear make-up most of the time?
I wear make up everyday to college eyeliner + foundation and occasionally some eyelashes takes me a couple of seconds but if I'm running late or something i can leave without putting anyone on i don't really care.

But isn't that the case most of the time - I mean, girls look more attractive with makeup without it?

I never thought of that reason to wear make-up before. -surprised-

if you knew how to read you would have seen i used the word SOME. I never said all, I have SEEN girls being forced to take off the make up at school and they looked a lot worse without.
so if you don't wear any you don't care of yourself thats the most stupidest thing I have ever heard you must be a ganguro girl lol

If every man stared at you when you wore make-up perhaps you had too much on?

I don't agree with this view in the slightest, but some girls do. It is quite silly because generally they look better naturally. At the end of the day, it is the individual's choice to wear whatever they want, who are I am to question them.

To be honest, looking my best all the time is not my priority in life.

Oh, I know - I wasn't trying to mock people who wore a lot of make-up or anything, I was just curious. To quote one of my earlier posts on the thread:

Re: Why do some people wear make-up most of the time?
I like to look my best. On a baily basis I put on a bit of foundation and powder and some eye liner. I don't need a lot because luckyly I have my mums skin and have never had any problems. It only takes 5 mins. It's very light though nobody can tell I'm wearing anything. At night I just wash my face with a facewash like I would do even if I didn't wear make up so it's not time consuming. If I'm going out with my boyfriend or doing something important or special I make more of an effort with my make up.
Re: Why do some people wear make-up most of the time?
I wear concealer, foundation, powder, blush, eyeliner, mascara and lip gloss / vaseline.
I wear it because I have horrible skin with quite an uneven skin tone, so i use the make-up to even that out a bit. I don't even go into a corner shop without it on - the only place that I do go without it on is down the garden in the early morning to let the chickens out!
