We now have a location decided and this is

LONDON

You may be thinking - 'why not cambridge, they won the other poll'.

The reason is for everyone not in cambridge it cost more than double the amount to get there and the train journeys are much much longer and it is just an awkward place to get to.

London on the other hand is very accessible from everywhere, whether by train or by megabus (which I thoroughly recommend.)

Now I was going to put up a selection of dates and let you all pick but this happens and then people don't actually go and it takes ages to organise and then and it fades into oblivion so I propose a different idea.

I will be in London on Saturday the 21st as are some others (hopefully)!

Thus I put forward:

Meet at 2pm at Victoria Station on Sat 21st November

Out of curiosity what are you guys going to do after meeting at victoria station..

Tabs - we could meet up after DEs, grab some lunch and head to the station? Trains take around an hour and cost about £10 with a railcard.

I don't know victoria station well enough to pick somewhere so its your choice. After the meeting up the day will be weather dependant. If it is sunny we may spend the day on a park of your choice or sightseeing or (more likely) it will be cold so we will find a wetherspoons or something similar and have lunch and a drink.

I think meet after DE and go straight to the station, we can do lunch anywhere in London or something. I'd like to go to Foyles if we're going to London

I plan on returning about 6 or 7ish, it is our queer bop that night which is kind of the biggest event of the year for Wadham. I'm going to get into paddington station at 13.00 and then walk through hyde park to get to victoria for about 13.45ish. This gives me four hours of mathyness

Out of curiosity, why the hell Victoria? Don't Cambridge people get in to KX, and Oxford+Bristol/Bath people get in to Paddington? Don't know so much about northerners, but they tend to not come in to southern stations like Victoria.

(My negative spirit about Victoria may stem from having been there today with a closed Victoria line, so I had to walk for 50 minutes to get from Green Park to Pimlico)

All this said, it's a good idea you've just picked a date so we don't have the hassle of deciding that! However, it's not certain I can attend - I may have to go to Sweden that particular weekend, I got an email about that earlier today...
