...says expert.

Now, I've not seen the report and I'm not an expert in the field...but:

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/arti...y-reports.html is the article

and

http://www.food.gov.uk/scotland/abou...rrieruxtonsfac is her page on the Scottish Food Advisory Committee, which includes the Tea Council as one of her sources of paid work.

Is anyone else thinking

Arguably if you drank 8 cups of all different kinds of "tea" (basically any leaf infusion) then that would be healthy.

Like caffeinated tea with milk, roibosh, green tea, fruit tea, etc etc

You do know that sugar and fat are not bad for you, right? Just moderate... skimmed milk - what next protein-free chicken?

Yes, but read the article, that isn't the point. We all know drinking green tea and such is good for you. Shes suggesting the caffeine itself is helpful in large quantities

Ugh it's just like the studies about how wine and chocolate are good for you. Scientists will just find one good/nutritional thing in it and then emphasize it as an excuse for consuming it - completely ignoring any negative effects they may have.

If you like something, then just have it - don't bother making up a load of fake, pussy reasons why "xyz-ine or omega 69" is good for you. This woman is probably paid by Twining's or someone to say this anyway - she couldn't have been more vague in her reasons, "significant health benefits".
