Technically, they are only meant to ask stuff completely within the
syllabus and any questions that are grossly outside of the syllabus are
not counted as part of your mark. Unfortunately, the way they get around
this is to make the syllabus as general as possible. What you really
need is a teacher that has been teaching IB biology for 20+ years to
REALLY know what is going to be on the exam. If you read the syllabus
and read it religiously though, you are still pretty much guarenteed a
7, just a lot more work. Look on the bright side, I decided to do an
option in chem we had not done in class and I only read up on it the
night before the exam.
