Re: Oxbridge Economics interview preparationAgreed. Certainly not as well as the practise TSA I did but that just means the average will be lower anyway.(Original post by frodalod)
I see you applied to Jesus, did you have your interview with Dr T Aidt and Dr Krishnan? How did the TSA go I think that was toughest challenge of the day.Last edited by Mdawg; 07-12-2010 at 21:06. -

Re: Oxbridge Economics interview preparationI would totally agree with this. It is kind of frustrating when you have done so much preparation for none of it to come up, but they are looking to test your aptitude, not knowledge.(Original post by frodalod)
If I was to give any advice toward Cambridge interviews, it would be not to prepare or at least expect the unexpected. Therefore I think it would be best to get a good night sleep, keep a fresh mind and try not to stress. It's worth reading the newspaper/economist just to get in the right frame of mind but certainly no more than that. I say this because I had my interview yesterday and they didn't ask anything remotely related to my PS or to why I like my subject of study or why I like the university. I think they presume candidates prepare answers for set questions and really they want to see how you react to something new and challenging. I think its also quite relieving to know that although each interview lasted 20/30 mins, it actually felt like 5/10 so the time goes quick.
